Dear God,just thought I'd sit down to write
Thought I'd have a word with you,if I might
Guess you know I haven't always done right
But God,I have always kept you in sight
I've not been as bad, as some people think
For afew years there,I sure enjoyed a drink
My family wished i was the missing link
Dear God,you just didn't allow me to sink
I've always lived my life,as if I were dieing
Right out front,no reason for lieing
Some times I caused tears or I was crying
I left them shaking their heads and sighing
Well Dear God,as I move near your door
I guess there isn't alot I am sorry for
Some things I wish I hadn't done,some more
More good then bad,if you keep score
Dear God,just wanted to thank you,for life
For making me strong to handle striff
For year of being a mother and wife
For letting me live here in heaven,in this life
